Final Casita Grading Design Approved
- The final grading design for the new casita locations has been completed and approved by the county.
- The grading contractor is currently building a 3D model to ensure all work aligns precisely with the approved plans.
- The team will return to the site on Monday, August 11, to begin grading the various clusters. Estimated completion is within three weeks.
Drainage and Utility Plan Updates
- All revised drainage and utility plans have been resubmitted to the county, incorporating redesign considerations.
- These changes have significantly reduced infrastructure costs across the development.
- Full approval is anticipated soon, with installation expected to follow the completion of the new casita grading.
Permitting Secured for the Pima House
- Permitting has been successfully secured for renovations on the Pima House (existing casita).
- The general contractor is currently finalizing the project scope, and renovation work is expected to begin within two weeks.
Site Cleanup and Preparation
- Ongoing site cleanup is facilitating infrastructure readiness.
- This includes tree and ancillary structure removal, as well as general maintenance work led by Genaro across the site.
Carmen and Zuni Houses Renovation
- Roof replacement and interior demolition efforts are currently underway for both the Carmen and Zuni houses.
New Casita Construction Permits Submitted
- Plans for all new casita constructions have been formally submitted for building permits.
New Well Plans Approved and Out for Bid
- The state has approved plans and specifications for the new well.
