Ground Breaking EB-5 Project Waldorf Astoria

"We are excited to have broken ground on the Waldorf Astoria Texas Hill Country,” said Robert Radovan, Waldorf Astoria Developer. “We've started on numerous aspects, which includes grading some of the villa, estate lots and roads, and we look forward to an official celebration.”

Ali Jahangiri, Managing Partner of EB5LA, agreed.

“The start of the construction on Dec. 8 by Keller construction also initiates the job creation aspect required by the EB-5 visa program,” he said.

Developed under the Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts brand, the development includes hospitality and residential facilities. The site is located within a rural Targeted Employment Area.

Construction Contract & Initial Civil Work

Current civil construction activities are critical to the overall success of the project, as they establish the physical and regulatory foundation for all future development. Early-stage work such as mass grading, site clearing, and tree removal prepares the land for safe, efficient construction, while access roads enable the movement of materials, equipment, and personnel.

The Waldorf Astoria Texas Hill Country Resort & Residences is scheduled to open in 2028 with stabilized operations projected by 2031. The project will include 60 hotel rooms and suites, 37 branded residence villas with rentable lock-off units, and approximately 50 residential estates, complemented by resort amenities such as a spa, fitness and wellness facilities, multiple dining venues, pools, and recreational spaces.
